Forex stands for foreign exchange market or we can say currency market. It is the market where one currency is traded for another.
If you want to start trading, you need to find youself a good broker (try to search for the one which offers first deposit bonus). At first open yourself a demo account, because you want to find out how the things work, right? Read some explanations on the Internet about this market and make your test trades. Best thing is to create your own trading strategy or system.
When you feel comfortable with what your are doing, you can make your first deposit and start tarding for real money.
